1. 'THE SOUND OF MUSIC' BEGINS 2ND LEG OF ITS INT'L TOUR IN SHANGHAI
百老匯音樂劇《音樂之聲》上海開演
As one of the most popular Broadway musicals in the international market, "The Sound of Music" is a feast for the ears and eyes at the New Bund 31 Performing Arts Center until December 10. Sun Siqi has more.
作為國(guó)際市場(chǎng)上最受歡迎的百老匯音樂劇之一，《音樂之聲》將于12月10日在新外灘31號(hào)演藝中心上演一場(chǎng)視聽盛宴。記者孫思奇帶來更多報(bào)道。
The version performed in China was directed by three time Tony award winner Jack O'Brien, the cast is the Broadway North American troupe【劇團(tuán)】, which has been touring around the world for one year. Shanghai is the first stop on the second round of it's international tour.
在中國(guó)演出的版本由三屆托尼獎(jiǎng)得主杰克·奧布萊恩執(zhí)導(dǎo)，演員陣容由百老匯北美劇團(tuán)組成，該劇團(tuán)已在全球巡演一年。上海是該劇第二輪國(guó)際巡演的首站。
Based on the true story of the Von Trapp Family Singers, "The Sound of Music" tells the tale of young Maria Rainer, whose free spirit has trouble fitting into the rules and regulations of Nonnberg Abbey. Commissioned by the Mother Abbess to serve as the governess【家庭女教師】 for seven motherless children, Maria transforms the Von Trapp family home from a place of dour rules and regulations to one filled with joy, with laughter, and with music.
《音樂之聲》根據(jù)馮·特拉普家族歌手的真實(shí)故事改編，講述了年輕的瑪麗亞·雷納的故事?，旣悂喪苄薜涝涸洪L(zhǎng)的委托，擔(dān)任七個(gè)沒有母親的孩子的家庭教師，她將馮·特拉普家從一個(gè)沉悶的、條條框框的地方變成了一個(gè)充滿歡樂、笑聲和音樂的地方。

This is the third time this classic musical has been performed in China. The first time the show came to China was in 2004, and generated nearly 17 million yuan at the box office. This year, it'll be on stage in Shanghai for three weeks before moving on to other cities in China, including Tianjin, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Guangzhou.
這是這部經(jīng)典音樂劇第三次在中國(guó)演出。2004年，該劇首次來到中國(guó)，創(chuàng)造了近1700萬元的票房收入。今年，該劇將在上海演出三周，然后前往天津、杭州、蘇州和廣州等中國(guó)其他城市演出。

First performed in 1959, "The Sound of Music" will celebrate its 65th anniversary next year. To date, it has been performed over 4,000 times on Broadway in New York and in London's West End, setting a Guinness record for the most people watching a show in a week. "The Sound of Music" has created memories for generations of audiences around the world. The stage shows, musical albums, films, and TV specials have won Tonys, Grammys, Oscars and Emmys.

The finals for the 2023 Shanghai Virtual Sports Open concluded last night in Huangpu District. Over the last 7 months, hundreds of participants got to experience how technology can make sports more accessible. Zhang Yue brings us more.

Virtual rowing may look similar of what people normally do at the gym, but the large screen showing the race on the water makes the competition more intense and real.

On the other side of the venue, 12 virtual motorsport racers were competing in a 20-minute race on the Shanghai F1 International Circuit.

In virtual cycling, participants had make their way up a six-kilometer gentle slope【斜坡】, then cycle another 8-kilometers of bumpy【顛簸的】 roads, which required a quick response from the riders.

This year was the second edition of the event, the schedule, prize money incentives, and gaming software was updated. The number of sports expanded from 5 to 7, and featured 36 events.

But getting a simulator is much easier and faster way for people to keep pick up this kind of sports and for rowing as well.”

Virtual sports have been gaining a lot of traction【拖拉】, in June this year, Singapore hosted the Olympic Esports Week, featuring virtual forms of motorsport, rowing, and sailing.
