From the short story,we must understand that we shouldn‘t cast away the people who once helped us a lot.We should learn to take care of them when they cannot support themselves.
Though the story is about a cat,in fact,it tells us that humanbeings must be thankful for others' help.

I read a story called The Old Cat.Then I thought a lot.
I reminded of many young men who don't take care of their parents.They think that their parents can't do any things which are useful for them like the old woman in the story.So they take a bad attitude to their parents.Besides,I thought that we shouldn't treat the men who once made a contribution but can't do nothing now like the old woman in the story.I also understand now I should take a kind attitude toward the people who once helped me.It is wrong you are kind to the people only when you need them_
